- 1, thick-cut, (1 inch) slice of 100% whole grain bread fresh from a bakery or Whole Foods
- ½ avocado
- red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- cayenne pepper
- Optional: 1 poached organic, omega-3 egg or smoked wild salmon for topping
- Mash avocado in a bowl with the juice of ½ lemon and and chia seeds
- Layer avocado on toasted bread.
- Top with cayenne pepper to taste and red pepper flakes to taste.
- Serve with a poached egg or smoked wild salmon on top.
